Kuala Lumpur pax traffic up 14.8% in 2010

Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad announced Kuala Lumpur International Airport handled 34.3 million passenger in 2010, a 14.8% year-on-year increase (BERNAMA, 16-Jan-2011). Datuk Azmi Murad, senior general manager operations, stated the growth was almost double expectations for the year. He said the airport saw a strong increase in capacity, particularly from airlines in the Middle East and home carriers AirAsia and AirAsia X.
