Korean Air stated it planned to complete its acquisition and merger with Asiana Airlines and operate as an integrated airline under Korean Air’s AOC on 17-Dec-2026, with a final merger agreement slated for 14-May-2026 and subsequent MOLIT approval sought.1 Korean Air had also outlined labour-related provisions in a tentative agreement, including reduced contractual working hours and a base salary increase, alongside changes to ordinary wage calculations.2
