Korean Air expects Sep-2009 traffic to increase
Korean Air reported (09-Sep-2009) international passenger traffic rose 9% year-on-year in Aug-2009. The carrier also stated forward bookings on international routes in Sep-2009 are up 21% year-on-year on the back of a 9% increase in capacity, adding the number of business and leisure passengers have been increasing since Jul-2009. Details include:
- Sep-2009 international forward bookings: +21% year-on-year;
- Japan: +59%;
- Americas: +12%;
- Europe: +10%;
- Southeast Asia: +7%;
- Oceania: +6%;
