Korean Air and Asiana report strong Jun-2010 traffic results

Korean Air handled 1.2 million international passengers in Jun-2010 - a new record for the month - representing the seventh consecutive month the South Korean carrier has set a year-on-year increase record (Chosun, 05-Jul-2010). The carrier added that load factors were 92% on US routes and 82% on European sectors, for a monthly average of 78%. Meanwhile, Asiana handled 810,000 passengers in the month, a 40% year-on-year increase for a record year-on-year rise also for the seventh consecutive month. The passenger numbers also mark the first time the carrier has exceeded the 800,000 passenger total in the month, traditionally a weak season in South Korea.
