Air France-KLM: Transavia will focus on growth in the Netherlands and France

Air France-KLM chairman and CEO Jean Marc Janaillac stated (13-Feb-2017) as part of the 'Trust Together' plan, the priority for Transavia will be to develop its home markets of the Netherlands and France. The plan calls for the closure of the Munich base. Air France-KLM president and CEO Pieter Elbers said, "Leveraging the joint strengths of KLM and Transavia will result in an even stronger position in the Dutch market. It will also allow Transavia to reallocate resources to accelerate this change". Mr Elbers further elborated, "We have announced 25 new destinations for the summer of 2017 and now offer more than 280 routes in Europe. We endorse the decision made by Transavia".
