Kansai International Airport to construct LCCT

Japan's Kansai International Airport is proceeding with the construction of a dedicated low cost carrier terminal (LCCT) (Nikkan Kyoiku, 29-Aug-2011). The LCCT will be operational from 2H2012. Peach, to be based at the airport, will commence Sapporo and Fukuoka services from 01-Mar-2012. Until the dedicated LCCT opens, Peach will establish provisional check-in facilities at the vacant shopping mall area in the existing terminal. Passengers will transfer to the aircraft by bus.
