Jetstar: the aim is to have the 'lowest marginal cost per passenger'

Jetstar CEO Australia and New Zealand David Hall, speaking at the CAPA Australia Pacific Aviation Summit 2014, stated (06-Aug-2014) it is "crucial" that airports, "now more than ever", understand the key requirements of LCCs. He noted that effective space management, a single level design, short walking distances from the terminal, short turns, and low capital investment are key considerations for LCCs. He said the aim is to have the "lowest marginal cost per passenger". He also said it is important for airports to incentivise growth.
