Japan MLIT reported (15-Nov-2012) the following traffic highlights for Aug-2012:

• Passenger numbers:
  • Domestic: 8.4 million, +2.9% year-on-year;
  • International: 1.4 million, +13.5%;
    • China: 319,928, +20.2%;
    • Korea: 196,105, +23.4%;
    • Rest of Asia: 435,250, +9.8%;
    • Americas: 161,377, +21.5%;
    • Pacific Ocean: 124,014, -1.9%;
    • Europe: 111,364, +5.5%;
    • Oceania: 11,255, +1.5%;
• Passenger load factor:
  • Domestic: 70.0%, -2.7 ppts;
  • International: 82.1%, +2.9 ppts;
• Cargo volume:
  • Domestic: 77,002 tonnes, +1.8%;
  • International: 91,757 tonnes, +11.8%;
    • China: 16,244 tonnes, +5.0%;
    • Korea: 4610 tonnes, +43.8%;
    • Rest of Asia: 35,759 tonnes, +12.2%;
    • Americas: 21,298 tonnes, +7.8%;
    • Pacific Ocean: 1427 tonnes, -1.0%;
