Jackson Square Aviation says cycle is changing for narrowbody leases

Jackson Square Aviation head of marketing Chris Dailey, speaking at the CAPA Airline Fleet & Finance Summit 2016, said (03-Mar-2016) the cycle is changing for narrowbody leases at present "because airline profitability has been trending for three years." Mr Dailey explained: "As profitability increases they can fund deliveries more effectively… We've seen narrowbody deliveries trend down over the last year, so more like 40% leased just because of the availability of other capital sources." Mr Daily noted: "I think there will be a slight slowdown in the overall rate of penetration of leasing companies but I expect over the long term to sit around 45% or above."
