ITA Airways launches new offer for onboard pet travel

Italia Trasporto Aereo (ITA Airways) received (20-Jun-2024) authorisation from the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) to increase the maximum weight of pets transported onboard domestic services from 8kg to 10kg, in addition to a 2kg carrier. The new offer 'Take it with you, from today you have even more weight and more space' was created to meet increasing customer demand and aims to ensure maximum comfort during flights. The service includes the booking of window seats. Pets will receive a dedicated boarding pass, to be delivered at the check-in counter. In this initial phase, the 25% increase in capacity will apply only to domestic services within the ITA Airways network and will not include services connecting with other airlines.
