Indian Minister for Civil Aviation announces 39 cases of failed pre-flight breath-analyser test

Indian Minister for Civil Aviation, Praful Patel, informed the Indian Government that 39 cases of co-pilots having been found to have consumed alcohol during pre-flight breath-analyser test have been reported to the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in the period Jan-2009 to Dec-2009 (Press Trust of India, 06-May-2010). Mr Patel added action was taken as per the Civil Aviation Requirement (CAR).
