Incoming Swissport chairperson notes trend in airlines outsourcing ground handling hub ops

Swissport incoming chairperson Christoph Mueller, speaking at CAPA Live January 2021, noted (13-Jan-2021) the trend that a lot of network carriers are considering outsourcing ground handling at hub operations, which could lead to "semi-inorganic growth" for established ground handlers. He added that more and more airlines "see that ground handling is not their core business... a certain specialisation is taking place in the business".
