Iberia reaches agreement with Airbus for early delivery of eight A330-200s

Iberia announced (04-Mar-2015) an agreement with Airbus for the early delivery of eight A330-200 aircraft, which will now be delivered between Dec-2015 and Nov-2016. As previously reported by CAPA, International Airlines Group (IAG) firmed options for the eight aircraft in Sep-2014. According to the CAPA Fleet Database, the aircraft had been scheduled for delivery between Dec-2015 and 2018. Iberia stated: "These aircraft are to replace the A340-300s, so an early handover speeds up the renewal of the long-haul fleet with economic, environmental and customer benefits."
