North America's leadership in SAF feedstock and production potential has been driven by substantial public funding, with the US contributing approximately 65% of global public support for advanced biofuels, primarily through guarantees, subsidies and grants, while the EU accounts for 13% and other regions remain significantly underfunded1. Canada launched its first SAF roadmap targeting one billion litres of SAF consumption by 2030, aiming for 25% domestic production by 20352.
