House passes dramatic FAA reform and job-creation legislation

US' House Transportation and Infrastructure approved (01-Apr-2011) legislation to dramatically reform and streamline Federal Aviation Administration programmes, modernise the nation's aviation system and spark much needed job-creation through aviation infrastructure improvements. The FAA Reauthorisation and Reform Act of 2011 (HR 658) was approved by a vote of 223 to 196. The Air Transport Association of America (ATA) has congratulated committee members and other representatives for their leadership on passage of the Reform Act.
