Hong Kong Tourism Board reports 22.8% rise in 2010 MICE arrivals
Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) reports (27-Feb-2011) overnight MICE arrivals rose 22.8% year-on-year to 1.4 million in 2010. Details include:
- Total*: 1.4 million, +22.8% year-on-year;
- Long-Haul markets: 395,903, +12.6%;
- Americas: 155,137, +18.4%;
- Europe, Africa and the Middle East: 192,245, +9.1%;
- Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific: 48,521, +9.4%;
- Short-haul Markets: 431,462, +17.8%;
- North Asia: 128,293, +11.1%;
- South and Southeast Asia: 230,964, +24.6%;
- Taiwan: 72,205, +10.4%;
- Mainland China: 598,022, +35.4%. [more]
