Hong Kong Airlines to double cabin crew by 2012, plans 3x daily to London

Hong Kong Airlines plans to recruit 1000 new flight attendants this year, increasing its cabin crew to 1600, to support significant capacity increases next year (China News, 26-Aug-2011). Spokesperson Chen Wanjun stated the carrier has submitted an application with the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department to operate three times daily Hong Kong-London service in early 2012, as well as services to Taipei and Seoul next year.
