HK Express GM corporate planning: China outbound demand to fully recover in 2025

HK Express GM corporate planning Matthew Choi, speaking at Routes Asia 2025, stated (25-Mar-2025) international outbound travel demand from China is likely to exceed the pre-COVID-19 level in 2025, representing a "very exciting opportunity". Mr Choi said the demand is partly driven by visa relaxations by countries in Southeast Asia and Japan. He added: "That's a very big trend that's going to come" for the long term and stated: "We're very confident into the future".
