Greece to retender major airport construction project

Greek Government plans to re-launch a tender for the contruction of a EUR1 billion airport in Kasteli, Crete by the middle of 2010 (Reuters, 09-Nov-2009). Approximately EUR7.5 billion in funds, predominantly from the European Union, are expected to be invested in Greek infrastructure projects, including airports, by 2014.
