GOL pax traffic soars 34.8%, yield continues to recover in Dec-2009

GOL passenger traffic up 34.8% - traffic highlights:

  • Dec-2009:
    • Passenger traffic (RPMs): +34.8% year-on-year;
      • Domestic: +36.2%;
      • International: +23.9%;
    • Load factor: 76.3%, +11.6 ppts;
      • Domestic: 77.1%, +9.5 ppts;
      • International: 70.3%, +21.4 ppts;
  • 12 months ended 31-Dec-2009:
    • Passenger traffic: +3.1%;
    • Load factor: 65.3%, +3.7 ppts. [more]

GOL: “As a result of the gradual recovery in yields following the scenario of increased price competition, net yield showed recovery once again in December, reaching slightly more than BRL 19.00 cents. This brought the net yield to approximately BRL 18.00 cents in the fourth quarter of 2009 and to just above BRL 20.00 cents in the whole of 2009,” Company statement. Source: GOL, 08-Jan-2010.
