GOL pax traffic and load factor down in Jan-2012, yield up 4%

GOL reports (17-Feb-2012) the following traffic highlights in Jan-2012:

  • Passenger traffic (RPKs): -3.6% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: -1.8%;
    • International: -18.9%;
  • Load factor: 70.4%, -4.2 ppts;

GOL: "January's yields ranged between BRL21.1 and BRL21.6 cents, 4% higher than in Jan-2011 and flat over the previous month. Since the change in the industry's behavior at the end of the second half of 2011, yields have recorded a progressive improvement, mainly on the major domestic routes, which are largely composed of business passengers.
