GECAS places first 737-800 freighter conversions with ASL

GECAS placed (12-Oct-2016) two Boeing 737-800 passenger-to-freighter conversions under a lease agreement with ASL Aviation Group. The aircraft will feature 12 main deck pallet positions, maximum payload of 23.5 tonnes and maximum range of more than 2100 nautical miles. Conversion will commence in 2017 and the aircraft will be redelivered in 2018. The aircraft will be converted by Aeronautical Engineers and will be operated by an ASL Aviation Group entity for an integrator customer.
