Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines received regulatory approval in July 2024 from Singapore's Competition and Consumer Commission for their joint venture, allowing them to commence joint revenue sharing flights and coordinate schedules between Singapore and Indonesia1. The partnership, which includes reciprocal frequent flyer benefits, aims to support joint capacity growth on routes between Indonesia and Singapore2. The joint venture expands a memorandum of understanding signed in November 2021 and covers routes between Singapore and Bali, Jakarta, and Surabaya3.
