Freight Transportation Services Index down 6.8% in Nov-2009

US Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) reports (13-Jan-2010) the Freight Transportation Services Index (TSI) rose 1.8% in Nov-2009 when compared to the previous month in Oct-2009. The Nov-2009 Freight TSI of 96.2 is the lowest for the month of November since Nov-1996, while the 6.8% year-on-year decline was the largest November-to-November decline in the 20 years for which the TSI is calculated.
