Fraport Greece signs long term financing agreement for 14 Greek regional airports

Fraport Greece signed (27-Mar-2017) a long term financing agreement worth EUR1 billion with consortium of lenders, covering the 40 year concession of the 14 Greek regional airports. Main contributors in the consortium include:

  • Alpha Bank: EUR284.7 million;
  • Black Sea Trade and Development Ban: EUR62.5 million;
  • European Bank for Reconstruction and Development: EUR186.7 million;
  • European Investment Bank: Two loans totalling EUR280 million;
  • International Finance Corporation: EUR154.1 million.

EUR280.4 million will be used for the financing of development works at the 14 airports, while EUR688 million will be used as part of the upfront EUR1234 million concession payment to the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund.
