Fraport Greece details 'major' development plans for all 14 Greek regional airports
Fraport Greece detailed (22-Mar-2017) major development plans for the 14 Greek regional airports. As previously reported by CAPA, the company will invest a minimum of EUR330 million on development works until 2021. Major works to be implemented during the first four years of the concession period include building five new passenger terminals at the following airports:
- Thessaloniki Makedonia Airport;
- Corfu Airport;
- Kefallinia Airport;
- Kos Ippokratis Airport;
- Mytilini Airport.
Refurbishment projects at all 14 airports will also be implemented for:
- All 15 runways;
- All existing terminals (200,000sqm in total);
- All sanitary facilities;
- 14 fire stations;
- Airport apron areas.
Baggage screening systems featuring inline system technology will be installed at all airports. [more - original PR - English/Greek]
