Fokker Next Gen aimed to develop a 150 seat, CO2 emission-free aircraft powered by liquid hydrogen or sustainable aviation fuel, targeting entry into service by 2035, with assembly planned to commence in late 2032 and project feasibility demonstration by the end of 20291. It previously planned to produce aircraft in both the Netherlands and Latvia and signed a MoU with airBaltic to investigate hydrogen-powered solutions for regional routes2.
