SpiceJet began its major winter 2025/26 expansion by inducting one A340 and two Boeing 737s, with plans to receive a total of 20 damp leased aircraft during Oct/Nov-2025 and return four grounded aircraft to service by mid Dec-2025. This expansion was expected to more than double its active fleet and triple capacity by the end of Dec-20251 2.
