European Commission: ETS issue must be solved through ICAO

European Commission Vice-President and Commissioner for Transport Siim Kallas said (13-Feb-2012) the issue of aviation emissions trading "must be tackled, and solved, in ICAO" and Europe wants to see a multilateral solution. Mr Kallas said Europe has willingly struck a lone path in "tackling some of the difficult regulatory challenges that we will all ultimately face, we would still prefer multilateral solutions."
