European carriers have not joined forces against Middle East airlines: AEA

Association of European Airlines (AEA) Information Manager David Henderson dismissed reports European carriers had joined forces to prevent rivals in the Middle East from expanding in Europe (Gulf Daily News, 14-Oct-2010).

AEA: "Someone has concluded we are targeting airlines in the Gulf but that conclusion is not true. There are issues between some Gulf airlines and some governments in Europe and Canada over landing rights etc but that is a different matter.
