EUROCONTROL: Three of the top 10 carriers above 2019 flights level in late May-2024

EUROCONTROL reported (29-May-2024) the following European aircraft operator rankings, based on the average number of daily flights for the period between 20-May-2024 and 26-May-2024:

• Ryanair: 3420, +11% year-on-year;
• easyJet: 1752, +6%;
• Turkish Airlines: 1479, -2%;
• Lufthansa: 1255, +11%;
• Air France: 1030, -4%;
• KLM: 898, +4%;
• British Airways: 858, +8%;
• Wizz Air: 821, +2%;
• SAS: 691, unchanged;
• Vueling: 638, -1%.

The top 10 aircraft operators posted a 0.1% week-on-week decrease. Of the top 10, Ryanair (+35%), Wizz Air (+35%) and Turkish Airlines (+14%) recorded figures above 2019 levels. SAS (-27%), Lufthansa (-22%) and Air France (-19%) recorded the largest decreases compared to 2019. [more - original PR]
