EUROCONTROL: Three of the top 10 carriers above 2019 flights level in early Jun-2024

EUROCONTROL reported (13-Jun-2024) the following European aircraft operator rankings, based on the average number of daily flights for the period between 03-Jun-2024 and 09-Jun-2024:

• Ryanair: 3546, +12% year-on-year;
• easyJet: 1807, +6%;
• Turkish Airlines: 1519, -3%;
• Lufthansa: 1247, +2%;
• Air France: 1107, +5%;
• KLM: 919, +7%;
• British Airways: 871, +7%;
• Wizz Air: 846, +1%;
• SAS: 702, +2%;
• Vueling: 654, +13%.

The top 10 aircraft operators posted a 1.2% week-on-week increase. Of the top 10, Ryanair (+36%), Wizz Air (+36%) and Turkish Airlines (+6%) recorded figures above 2019 levels. SAS and Lufthansa (-20%) recorded the largest decreases compared to 2019, followed by Air France (-14%) and British Airways (-12%). [more - original PR]
