Ethiopian to receive first B787s in Mar-2012 for use to China and Europe

Ethiopian Airlines regional director for China Fikre Degife stated the carrier expects to take delivery of its new B787 in Mar-2012 (Dow Jones Newswire, 07-Jul-2011). "We expect them to come in March. This is the information I have as of last night," he said. Delivery of four of the 10 B787s on order, has been delayed from Dec-2011. Mr Degife said the aircraft would be used on routes to China and Europe. "It will give us the capability to have direct flights into China. It is a long-range aircraft," he noted.
