Ethiopian Airlines receives first 787-9

Ethiopian Airlines received (27-Oct-2017) its first Boeing 787-9 aircraft (ET-AUO; serial number 38778) on lease from AerCap, as recorded by the CAPA Fleet Database. The airline is the first in Africa to operate the 787-9. The carrier's first commercial 787-9 service was to Kilimanjaro. The carrier also operates 19 787-8s, including three from AerCap.
