Ethiopian Airlines and Air Djibouti to support development of Djibouti as a logistics hub

Ethiopia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority (DPFZA), via their official Facebook and Twitter accounts, announced (21-Jan-2021) Ethiopian Airlines and DPFZA agreed to launch a freight transport service with the aim to transport more than 400,000 tons of goods, mainly from China to Africa. If successful, the agreement would double Ethiopian Airlines' cargo operations. Air Djibouti and Ethiopian Airlines also established a technical working group to refine details of the agreement. The parties aim to make Djibouti a hub for air and sea logistics.
