Emirates has no plans to enter commercial alliance

Emirates President Tim Clark stated the carrier would not enter into any commercial alliances as they are harmful to competitiveness and service quality (Al Bayan, 25-Oct-2010). Mr Clark's remarks come during an ongoing dispute over access to flight routes and competition with European and North American carriers.
