Emirates expects to report "solid results" for FY2009/10

Emirates President Group Services & Dnata, Gary Chapman, stated the carrier expects to report "solid results" for FY2009/10 and confirmed financing for aircraft deliveries is "not a problem", as the carrier has a "considerable" cash balance (Reuters, 02-Feb-2010). The carrier stated on Monday that it expects to take delivery of 11 aircraft this year.

Emirates: "Given the way we've been trading, we expect solid results...Aircraft financing isn't a problem. We're getting very attractive opportunities with the export credit agencies. We are getting very attractive financing opportunities with the credit export agencies that guarantee the debt and the margin we achieve on that makes it very competitive…Dubai World has not directly impacted us," Gary Chapman, President Group Services & Dnata.
