Emirates could increase A380 orders to 120

Emirates President CEO Tim Clark stated the carrier could add more A380s to its fleet (Gulf News, 02-May-2011). The carrier has 90 A380 orders at present, which could increase to 120, with existing deliveries to occur by Nov-2017. However, Mr Clark noted that any increase in the A380 orders depends on infrastructure to support the aircraft.

Emirates: "The much will depend on the dynamic of the airport changes - at Al Maktoum International airport down in Jebel Ali and at Dubai International. If we had space available to have more A380s at Dubai International airport, we would do that and get 120 A380s. Can we fly 120 A380s? Of course we can. We can only do what we can do within the physical constraints of the hub," Tim Clark, CEO. Source: Gulf News, 02-May-2011.
