Emirates closes sale and leaseback agreement for four A380s with Investec

Emirates closed (09-May-2016) a USD1 billion sale and leaseback transaction for four A380s with Investec Aviation Finance. The aircraft were manufactured in 2013 and 2016 and were delivered over the past four months. Investec acquired the 2013 aircraft from Stellwagen Finance and the 2016 aircraft direct from Airbus. Investec acted as sole arranger for the financing and leasing elements of the transaction. Financing was provided by banks and institutional investors in the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
