Egypt targets 14 million tourist arrivals and USD11.5 billion in tourism revenue in 2010

Egyptian Minister for Tourism, Zoheir Garranah, stated Egypt is targeting a 6.9% increase in tourism revenue to USD11.5 billion in 2010 (Bloomberg, 08-Feb-2010). The nation reported a 2% decline in tourism revenue in 2009 to USD10.76 billion. The Egyptian reports tourist arrivals dipped 2.3% to 12.5 million in 2009. The nation is targeting 14.0 tourist arrivals in 2010.
