easyJet to freeze winter capacity growth

easyJet plans to freeze winter capacity due to expected slow economic growth in the UK and continental Europe. The airline said the economic outlook in the region is "challenging," with weak consumer confidence hurting airlines' ability to pass higher fuel prices and taxes to passengers. The LCC said 45% of all winter seats are booked. Despite the outlook, easyJet expects passenger revenues to increase by "mid-single digits", due to higher yields from capacity discipline and ancillary revenue initiatives.
