easyJet announces 13% increase in capacity in summer 2011
easyJet stated (16-Dec-2010) it would increase capacity by 13% year-on-year in its summer 2011 flying programme making it the "biggest ever" summer schedule. The carrier will operate 551 routes between 129 airports across 30 countries. In total easyJet will fly 40.64 million seats in the summer 2011 season. Highlights of the new flying programme include:
- Operating more than 40 million seats between 27-Mar-2010 and 29-Oct-2011;
- Opening 11 new routes across Europe;
- Launching six new routes from London Gatwick to Amman, Izmir, Verona, Bologna, Seville and Aberdeen (daily service from Jun-2011); [more - London Gatwick Airport] [more - Aberdeen]
