Dubai International Airport sets traffic record in Jul-2011

UAE's Dubai International Airport announced the following traffic highlights in Jul-2011:

• Passenger numbers: 4,700,000, +9.1%;
• Cargo volume: 192,538, -2.7%.

The passenger traffic figure is a new monthly record for Dubai International. "Not only did we set a new record, we surpassed the previous high point by over 400,000 passengers," Dubai Airports CEO, Paul Griffiths, said.

Dubai Airports: "Combined with Dubai's burgeoning attractiveness as a centre for business and tourism, this is sure to fuel future expansion...Dubai International is currently ranked as the fourth busiest airport worldwide for international passenger traffic.
