Dragonews CEO: Uncertainty exists into 2013

Dragonair CEO Patrick Yeung, in the Dec-2012 issue of Dragonews, stated (Dec-2012) 2012 "has not been an easy year for the aviation industry globally". He continued, "The market situation has been - and remains - very difficult. However, it is true that Dragonair has performed well in the circumstances". He added, "We can say it has been a successful year, not so much financially, but certainly in terms of raising the profile of the Dragonair brand. We have expanded our network considerably, adding eight new destinations during 2012 - unprecedented in the history of KA to date. And that is not counting the three destinations that will come on line in January 2013". On the outlook, Mr Yeung said: "As we look forward to 2013 and the Year of the Snake, we still face much uncertainty in the industry. But our New Year's resolution should be to maintain the can-do KA spirit and to be positive and optimistic about the growth and investment plans that we have in place". [more - original PR]
