ANA: Volcanic eruption – Iceland update

18-Apr-2010 Following the eruption of the volcano in Iceland, the cloud of volcanic dust is still within UK and European air space today (Sunday 18th April).

NATS have advised the restriction will remain in place until least 00:01 (GMT) on Monday 19th April. Therefore the current restrictions will remain in place, meaning there will be no flying in or out of British airspace.

Thomson Airways has now made the decision to cancel all UK outbound flights on Sunday 18th April and Monday 19th April.

Some of our other partner airlines will update their schedules as further information becomes available from NATS.

Also please note that due to heavy backlogs all cargo handling agents have placed an embargo on the acceptance of further cargo
