Delta celebrates 25 years of service to Rome and Milan

Delta Air Lines celebrated (23-Nov-2016) its 25th year of service to Milan and Rome on 01-Nov-2016, having carried more than 13.5 million passengers between Italy and the US since the 1991 launch. The carrier noted the most popular final destinations for customers flying from Milan are New York, Atlanta, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Los Angeles, while the most popular final destinations for customers flying from Rome are New York, Atlanta, Detroit, Cancun and San Francisco. Delta has transported more than four million passengers on Milan-US services and more than seven million passengers on Rome-US services in the past 25 years. Delta's sales manager for Italy Patrizia Ribaga noted: "Strong air links to the US - such as Delta's - are key to realising benefits for the Italian economy in terms of exporting Italian goods to the US as well as supporting inbound tourism to Italy."
