SkyWest Airlines also invested in Maeve Aerospace, securing exclusive launch customer rights and supporting operational, performance and design aspects of the hybrid-electric MAEVE Jet 500, which is targeting entry into service in 2032 or 2033 and seating 76 to 100 passengers1. Japan Airlines and JAL Engineering signed an MoU with Maeve to jointly develop the MAEVE Jet, aiming for a 40% reduction in emissions without Sustainable Aviation Fuel2.
