Delhi and Mumbai airports request to increase charges

India's Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) and Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) reportedly announced a proposal to the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) to increase airport charges by 10% (Live Mint, 24-Aug-09). If approved, this would be the operator's second 10% increase in airport charges, which include landing, navigation and parking charges, in 2009. DIAL and MIAL also levy an Airport Development Fee on domestic and international outbound passengers.
