US' Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport passenger numbers up 6% - traffic highlights for Apr-2013:

• Passenger numbers: 4.9 million, +5.6% year-on-year;
  • Domestic: 4.4 million, +5.6%;
    • Low cost carriers: 399,229, +42.5%;
  • International: 496,789, +5.7%;
    • Low cost carriers: 6,094, +47.3%;
• Cargo volume: 51,606 tons, -1.4%;
• Aircraft movements: 56,458, +8.9%.

The airport reported a total of 405,323 LCC passengers travelled through the airport in Apr-2013, an increase of 42.6% year-on-year.
