Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport announces Aug-2011 traffic gains

US' Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport announced the following traffic highlights in Aug-2011:

  • Passenger numbers: 5,189,442, +2.9%;
    • Domestic: 4,670,473, +3.1%;
      • Low cost carriers: 365,976, +26.4%;
    • International: 518,969, +1.5%;
      • Low cost carriers: 10,507, +49.4%;
    • Low cost carriers: 376,483, +26.8%;
  • Cargo volume: 55,729 tonnes, -7.3%;
    • Freight: 51,542, -7.7%;
    • Mail: 4187, -2.0%;
  • Aircraft movements: 57,057, -0.2%.
